The robolink W draw-wire robot consists of polymer joints which are connected to each other by aluminium tubes.   It is possible to adjust the length of each articulated arm. To further reduce the weight, carbon fibre or reinforced plastic tubes are available. The pull ropes are led through the arm and are specially developed Bowden cables.
