Bearings and energy chains for commercial vehicles

Heavy loads, dirt, heat, low temperatures and humidity: commercial vehicles and lorries have a rough working day. No tradesperson can afford downtime, and usually the tight schedules do not allow time for maintenance. Energy chains, plain bearings and linear guides made of iglidur plastics help you increase reliability in and around the vehicle at many fault-prone places. The products are characterised by a high level of robustness, predictable running times and the fact that they do not require lubrication. No lubricants also means no dirt contained in the grease that limits mobility.

Tech up

  • Lubrication and maintenance-free
  • Less installation space and lower weight
  • Quiet, smooth operation

Cost down

  • Cost-effective and easy assembly
  • Avoid failures with service life calculator

Success stories

Oscillating axle from Demarko

Extra-strong plain bearings in oscillating axle for semi-trailers

Demarko develops oscillating axles for semi-trailers and was looking for robust bearings to be used where the main load is carried by a hydraulic cylinder. Our robust and maintenance-free iglidur G plain bearings and TX1 thrust washers are the perfect solution here.
Cleaning vehicle from Fiedler

Dirt- and water-resistant linear guide in spray booms

The company Fiedler relies on drylin linear guides in the double spray booms of its cleaning vehicles. They are not only resistant to wear and tear and insensitive to water, sand and brake wear. They are also robust enough to withstand severe impacts and vibrations from crossing curbs and cobblestones.

Tested in the laboratory

iglidur plain bearings, drylin linear technology and igubal coupling joints are tested for real use in the largest plastics test laboratory in the industry. The focus is on testing assemblies and examining the tribological properties of different material combinations. The results are integrated into our service life calculation tools and allow precise durability predictions.Upon request, igus performs customer tests to check product use under specific conditions.
