PTFE-free and PFAS-tested: New materials and motion plastics products from igus
The potential ban on PFAS poses challenges for many industrial customers, as common materials and lubricants often contain PFAS or PTFE additives. At igus, we started developing alternatives to PTFE at an early stage - and we now offer many motion plastics products made from PTFE-free and PFAS-tested materials. Our PTFE-free material iglidur JPF was also honoured by Kunststoff Magazin as Product of the Year 2025 in the materials category.
Components for battery production - particle-free, lubrication-free and IPA-tested
The production of high-performance batteries requires highly automated production lines with special chemicals and dry cleanrooms that place extremely high demands on energy chains, bearing points and cables. As lubricants can change their specifications under these conditions, which may result in maintenance work and downtimes, it is essential to use lubrication-free parts.
The solution: our lubrication-free and maintenance-free components, such as plain bearing and linear technology as well as energy chains and cables.
