triflex® R (R for "round") is igus® 's third generation of 3-axis energy chain. The multi-axis energy chain system triflex® R has been specially developed for demanding 6-axis robot applications in harsh industrial environments. Some key design features are Option with fibre-rod for partial stiffening of the triflex® R, approx. ±10° torsion per chain link, high tensile strength due to ball and socket joint. With more than 100 components, the triflex® R product family is now available to cover all requirements, from large welding robots to small palletising robots. triflex® R has won an iF Design award.
