Hydraulic and pneumatic components give machinery and equipment power, precision, speed and dynamics. Demands on the equipment and corresponding components installed are incredibly high! The range of uses for iglidur plain bearings, igubal spherical bearings and drylin linear guides or lead screws in fluid engineering is constantly increasing. They are also proving their worth in fittings and valves. Resistant to chemicals and available in small quantities

iglidur X plain bearings can be found in virtually all flange ball valves and flanged ball compact valves made by Pister Kugelhähne GmbH. The decisive factors for the choice of plain bearings made of high-performance polymers were their chemical resistance and availability in small quantities. The iglidur X material can be deployed at temperatures between -100°C and 315°C.

Valve without jamming piston

This valve with iglidur plain bearings is deployed in a machine that fills packages of ice cream with fruit pieces. It is vital for the fully automated process to function reliably. Since iglidur plain bearings have been deployed as support and guide rings, there have been no more jammed pistons. In addition, plain bearings are suitable for use in the food industry.

Quiet operation, freedom from lubrication and cost efficiency are three advantages of iglidur plain bearings in circulating pumps for heaters.

Wear in dosing pumps kept to a minimum

LEWA uses igus plain bearings made of iglidur X material for its Ecoflow dosing pump. These are installed in the pump's engine where their properties ensure that wear to the piston rod bolt is kept to a minimum.

Reduce maintenance costs with iglidur plain bearings

iglidur plain bearings contain solid lubricants, which make them self-lubricating and maintenance-free. This reduces maintenance costs and ensures that stop valves, for example, function reliably over their long service life. The application uses a dryspin trapezoidal lead screw and ‑lead screw nut for the valve actuator, iglidur plain bearings for the dosing valve and an iglidur piston ring on the piston rod.
