Nursing and hospital beds

Noiseless and jerk-free movement of couches, easy operator control of side rails without snagging, and the discharge of electrostatic charges entail the same high requirements regarding bearing points as does high volume production e.g. by means of powder-coating or immersion-painting of pre-harnessed welding modules. This also applies to manual cleaning or disinfection by wiping associated with dosing and handling errors or automated cleaning in bed-linen washing facilities. In addition, it must be ensured that textiles are not contaminated by lubricants and that movement mechanisms do not require maintenance.
Depending on the customer's wishes, lubrication-free igus® products are electrically conductive, absorb very little moisture, are highly resistant to chemicals and resistant to multiple hydrolysis. They are used in:
Nursing and hospital beds
Frame adjustment mechanisms, brake operating components, electric and hydraulic actuators for adjusting functions. Cables and energy chains reliably supply the actuators with signals and power, even in constricted spaces, and, like the CF special 544 type of cables, can also be made antimicrobial or pre-harnessed as a readychain® system and supplied with e-chain® and plug-in connectors, depending on the customer's wishes.
