Amazing service life - efficient, no minimum order quantity

Save up to 270,000 euros!

Minimise machine downtimes and lower your storage costs

As a maintenance engineer, you know the problem. If a custom-made bearing that is a component of your belt conveyor fails, production comes to a standstill immediately. An enormous amount of time is then needed for maintenance and repair, and the costs involved are considerable as well. igus® can now provide a remedy in the form of custom-made 3D-printed wearing parts that are individually matched to your specific requirements. igus® is the only supplier in the market to provide an all-round 3D printing service for wearing parts. If you send us a 3D scan or a technical drawing, you can submit an order online asking us to print your individual wearing part or you can use one of our six iglidur® Tribo-Filaments to make replacement parts with your own 3D printer. Apart from enabling rapid replacement, these custom-made parts are often characterised by a substantially longer service life and greater wear resistance.

SLS printing as a cost-effective alternative

If you are having problems with the construction of a more complex replacement part, you can use iglidur® i3 Tribo material for the SLS method. This material is characterised by its outstanding abrasion resistance, which is at least three times better than that of conventional laser sintering materials. In addition to iglidur® i3, we can offer you our iglidur® i6 as a laser sintering material that is especially suitable for the additive manufacturing of gear wheels. The wear resistance of this innovative material for gear wheels is at least six times higher than that of standard materials.

Tested, tested, tested – 1,000,000 cycles and no end in sight

POM Gear wheel made of POM failed after 621,000 cycles
SLS iglidur® I6 Gear wheel made of iglidur® i6 with only little wear after 1,000,000 cycles
