TRE easy to fill

This version is by far the most versatile and best-selling version of all six triflex R energy chain. The "easy design" allows cable and hose to be easily pushed into the e-chains from the outside. This makes filling and replacing the filling super quick, easy and cost-effective.
There are two versions of the TRE, whereby the B version (e.g. TRE.40.058.0.B) differs significantly from the standard version of the same size (e.g. TRE.40.058.0) due to its 4-fold tensile strength.

TRC closed with protection against swarf

With this triflex R version, protection against external influences is the top priority. Thanks to the round and completely closed type of the e-chains, dirt and swarf have virtually no chance of getting inside and damaging the cable or hoses. The TRC version is also available from stock as a conductive ESD version. Conductive 3D chains are particularly required in semiconductor production.
Dimensions and connectors are identical to the TRE, which means that a TRE chain link can also be used as a quick replacement in an emergency.

TRCF closed with snap-lock mechanism

This triflex R version is completely closed, just like the TRC, but can be opened very easily from the outside in three ways via hinges. The round and closed type offers maximum protection against swarf or other external influences.
However, the internal structure and the connecting pieces do not allow the TRC and TRCF to be connected, as the TRC has two chambers and the TRCF has three chambers for cable and hoses.

TRL light and cost-effective

If the application allows it due to low stress and costs and weight play a major role, then the TRL chain is usually used. The lightweight TRL chain is exactly the right product for the optimum guidance of cables and hoses at the side of the robot as well as in situations where the triflex R chain is not subject to high tensile forces.
This light chain is not suitable for use in combination with retraction systems, but is a champion for simple cable guidance, as the cables and hoses are pressed into the chain super easily from the outside.

TRLF lightweight and with snap-lock mechanism

The TRLF is similar to the TRCF and TRL. Both F versions, where F stands for wing, offer the option of the e-chains being openable from the outside to make it even easier to insert cables and hoses. The TRLF is the ideal solution for applications with low tensile force requirements and the desire for flexibility to be able to change cables and hoses easily. For example, a guide of cables and hoses to the side of the robot is once again a suitable option. This light chain is also not suitable for use in combination with retraction systems, but is a champion for quick cable and hose replacement.

TRXE telescopic and twistable in one e-chain

When the 3-dimensional movement is extended by a further option, we have the revolutionary TRXE chain. This version combines the advantages of a TRE chain through the side openings and can even replace a complete retraction system under certain conditions (e.g. handling packages). This saves material, part numbers and, above all, weight, as the load capacity of robots is limited.
Thanks to the rubber band and the internal structure of the TRXE, length compensation of up to 36% is possible, which can replace one or two retraction systems.

Originally developed for guiding heavy cables in the shore power sector (power supply for inland waterway vessels).

The special features of this chain are its size, robust type, which is particularly emphasised by the core of a stainless steel chain link and also the features such as ventilation holes to dissipate heat from the inside more quickly.

ESD material certified by the IPA Fraunhofer Institute or certain triflex R chains (TRC) available within a few days as stock goods.

Mounting brackets for triflex R chains

Fastening the round triflex R chains is almost impossible without mounting brackets. In addition to the simple fixing of the triflex R chains, the mounting brackets also offer an option for strain relief on the cables and hoses. By using mounting brackets with strain relief teeth, the load on cables and hoses is greatly minimised, as the tensile forces are absorbed by the e-chains and not by the filling. Mounting brackets can also be installed without strain relief in order to simply attach the e-chains. The mounting brackets are basically categorised as standard, light and with swivel bearing.

Connections for the sixth robot axis

In addition to the standard and light mounting brackets for the triflex R e-chains, there are other different connection options especially for the sixth axis of an industrial robot. If there are many or heavy cables or hoses, the heavy-duty connection with radius support is ideal for optimally absorbing the weight and tensile force. The compact connection with and without strain relief are the options for simple attachment to the sixth axis. If the dress pack needs to be changed quickly or frequently, the quick exchange kit is ideal.

Gliding feed-through

A gliding feed-through is derived from a mounting bracket, whereby the mounting bracket fixes the e-chain and the gliding feed-through, especially in conjunction with a retraction system, guides the triflex R chains evenly on and around the robot. This product is available in two versions, locking or with swivel bearings for additional manoeuvrability.

Protection for triflex R e-chains - simply safe

When special environmental conditions mean that not only cables and hoses but also the triflex R chain require additional protection. The protectors give the triflex R chain extra protection against abrasion and wear for points subject to particular stress. The three protective hoses offer protection against soiling such as paint (white), hot swarf (silver) or increased abrasion (synthetic leather) due to friction.

TRE locks - small but indispensable

A major advantage of the TRE e-chains is its easy design, which means that cables and hoses can simply be pushed into the chain from the outside. However, this flexibility has a disadvantage when the TRE chain is connected to a mounting bracket. The connection between the mounting bracket and TRE is significantly optimised by using the locks. RS module - the all-rounder system

This retraction system is the classic among the igus dress packs. Integrated spring rods generate a directional pretension to prevent the formation of unwanted loops in the working area of the robot hand. The cables and hoses are guided above the robot for space-saving purposes.
This system is particularly suitable if the robot is located in a rough, dirty environment. The fibre-rod mechanism is extremely robust and low-maintenance.

RSP module - the powerful system

The infinitely adjustable retraction force is at the centre of this retraction system. The force with which the dress pack is pulled back into its original position is the strongest here and is also infinitely adjustable thanks to the use of compressed air. This system is the best choice if the filling changes frequently or is very heavy.
With very long robot arms, the RSP system offers sufficient power reserves to pull the dress pack back to its starting position again and again.

RSE module - compact for small robots

With the RSE module, weight and price are the main arguments for equipping your robot with this system. With a compact mix of RS and RSP module but without spring rods or compressed air, an elastic band ensures a constant retraction force. Although the system is limited to chain sizes 40 and 50, its lightweight but solid design makes it popular with robots with light and medium payloads. Extremely quick assembly and maximum variability in alignment ensure an optimum user experience.

RSE module - linear and space-saving

The linear RSE module is characterised in particular by its slim and therefore space-saving design. The biggest advantage of a linear system is the ability to optimally guide feed hoses for rivets or screws or to operate laser applications gently. To save additional space, a compact version of the RSE module is available for chain sizes 40 to 65. The compact versions are even lighter. For continuous linear use with medium and large filling, we recommend using the other linear retraction system.

RSEL & RSSL module - linear, space- and cost-saving

If cost pressure is increasing but the required retraction length is limited to a maximum of 380mm, then the linear RSEL and RSSL are the right choice. Both systems are identical in terms of dimensions, but the RSEL uses elastic belts to provide the retraction force and the RSSL uses spiral springs. In oily environments, the RSSL should be favoured over the RSEL. The main area of application for these retraction systems is the automotive industry.

Universal installation kit - angle tube for fibre-rod

The name universal installation set might suggest that anything can be attached here. However, the universal refers more to the attachment to the robot and not the attachment of the e-chain. When it comes to e-chains, fibre-rods can be installed with the open TRE chain or the closed type as a TRC fibre-rod. The e-chains are guided forwards parallel to the robot arm, freely supported by the fibre-rod modules. This system is particularly suitable for moderate robot movements, e.g. palletising. The module also ensures contact-free movement between the robot and e-chain, resulting in less wear.

Fibre-rod module - the simple "fishing rod"

In comparison to the other igus retraction systems, the fibre-rod relies on a pretension parallel to the robot arm. The fibre-rods allow the TRE or TRC chain to float above the robot arm like a fishing rod, thus preventing the chain from forming loops or abrasion on contact with the robot. The main area of application for the fibre-rod is simple palletising work, where the robot's radius of movement is kept within manageable limits.

e-chain set for RS module

The retraction systems are supplied without the e-chain as standard, as it is possible to equip a system with a TRE, TRC or even with the TRCF on the RSP. The second important point when selecting the right chain set is the additional chain length, which varies depending on the robot arm. The e-chain sets for the RS module are available with additional lengths of 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000mm. The longer the robot arm, the longer the length of the e-chain set should be. The additional length is always measured from the point at which the retraction system leaves the robot arm.

e-chain set for RSP module

This e-chain set for the RSP retraction system can be ordered in three different chain versions (TRE, TRC, TRCF), which is only possible with this retraction system. The additional chain length, which varies depending on the length of the robot arm, is also available in lengths of 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000mm. The longer the robot arm, the longer the length of the e-chain set should be. The additional length is always measured from the point where it exits the retraction system.

e-chain set for RSE module with deflection

This e-chain set for the compact RSE retraction system can be ordered in two different chain versions (TRE, TRC). As RSE with deflection is a system for small robotics, the longest additional chain length here is slightly shorter at 1250mm. As with the RS and RSP modules, the other lengths are 500, 1000 and 1500mm. The longer the robot arm, the longer the length of the e-chain set should be. The additional length is always measured from the point where it exits the retraction system.

Adapter brackets - suitable connection without drilling

To attach a retraction system to the robot, you do not want to and must not simply drill holes to attach the system to the robot. For a fast, strong and secure connection between the robot and the retraction system, we offer adapter plates for various robot models. The adapters are designed for robots and the attachment points present on the retraction system, thus enabling all components to be installed quickly.

Universal adjustment unit - always fits

If there is no suitable adapter for the RS and RSP retraction systems, then the universal adjustment unit is exactly the right product. With this component, one of the two retraction systems can be attached to the robot quickly, easily and without drilling.

SRM - rotation angle up to 380°

The steel trough module (SRM) is a complete system consisting of a steel trough, e-chain and the corresponding attachments to allow the robot to rotate around its own axis up to 380°. The dimensions of the trough start at a compact outer diameter of just 600mm and can reach a maximum dimension of 2800mm. If a high rotation angle is required for axis 1 in combination with the guidance of cables and hoses, then the SRMs are just the thing.

Swivel bracket - rotations of up to 270°

The swivel bracket is the simplest and most cost-effective way to allow a 6-axis industrial robot to rotate up to 270° around its own axis or axis 1. For stress-free installation on the robot, we offer adapters for various robot models that allow a swivel bracket to be attached without drilling.

Plastic clamps - fastened with Velcro tape

An energy supply on the cobot should be easy, variable and quick to install. The igus cobot clamp made of flexible and hard-wearing material combines precisely these attributes. The slightly curved and flexible shape enables a maximum connection to the cobot arm and the clamp is held in place by a silicone-free hook-and-loop strip.

Cobot clamps - metallic for Universal Robots

With this clamp, the clamps are attached to the cobot using a metal strip. Here, too, the e-chain is firmly attached to the cobot. It should be noted that the appropriate clamp size is selected depending on the position on the cobot. For the mounting brackets above the clamps, you can choose between normal fastening without strain relief or clamps with strain relief teeth for fastening the cables or hoses at both ends of the cobot.

HRC clamps - a safe, well-rounded solution

The human-robot collaboration (HRC) clamps are the fastening variant with a fixed diameter for assembly on various Universal Robot models. The rounded corners of the clamps optimally reflect the human-robot collaboration concept and offer a high level of protection against injuries when humans and robots are working in the same environment.

Plastic clamps - for Fanuc CRX

These are the lightweight, variable and quick-to-install cobot clamps with Velcro tape. The slightly curved and additionally flexible shape of the clamps ensures an optimal connection to the Fanuc CRX cobot arm. The Velcro tape for fixing the clamps is silicone-free, making the igus cobot clamps particularly suitable for use in painting applications.
