Go to application

In order to make the sale of their Nespresso coffee capsules even more spectacular, Nespresso Deutschland GmbH decided to develop an attention-grabbing vending machine. The customer can follow the entire process through the Plexiglas panes used.

The problem

Since this type of vending machines is designed to work autonomously, it was important to find an automation solution that is maintenance-free and at the same time cost-effective. In addition, the installation space had to be very compact, since, as is well known, little space is available in vending machines due to the stored goods.

The solution

An igus room linear robot offers all the requirements here. The lubrication-free solution allows it to be used in continuous operation with as little maintenance as possible. It is also characterised by its compact design. At less than €10,000, it also represents a cost-effective alternative to other systems.
