Whenever there is high demand for an industry or a product, new automation solutions are created. In this case, surgical masks were produced and packaged as part of the corona pandemic.

The problem

Due to the ad-hoc need, it was decisive to implement the integration of the automation solution quickly in order to be able to meet the enormous demand at the time.

The solution

An igus room linear robot which was used to put the masks in their packaging and then to close them securely.
