Ready-to-install system or modular system. The variety of potential uses of drylin® W profile rail guides arises from the large number of different components that can be combined with each other. We offer over 50 different profiles (installation sizes / geometry / surfaces), many linear plain bearings and linear carriages. drylin® W is suitable for use in all sectors, whether in the food sector, machine tool construction, interior or DIY. All components incl. rails can be ordered in the desired length from the online shop.
The igus® expert will be happy to advise you – no strings attached.

Carriage with hybrid roller bearings for smoother running
in design thanks to flexible distances with parallel single rails
In a hybrid linear bearing, a combination of plain and roller bearings work together: integrated rollers achieve low drive forces, while the sliding effect of the plain bearings protects against lateral forces. This combination enables the absorption of abusive forces:
1. Reduction of the coefficient of friction
2. Reduction of the required drive force
3. Function of the system without restricting the 2:1 rule
The concept of the linear plain bearing differs from the linear bearings with recirculating ball bearing guides in the type of movement. Plain bearings don't roll, they slide. The bearing elements are not separated from each other by rolling steel balls, but are sliding directly on the rail or shaft without a rolling element.
drylin® linear technology does not use a single drop of lubricating oil. In addition, our tribologically optimised materials produce less micro-abrasion than commercially available plastics. Longer service life also has a positive net effect on the environment.
The plastic liners are cost-effective, maintenance and lubrication-free and can be deployed in a wide range of applications. The various materials offer versatile specifications to withstand various environmental conditions and influences.
With the innovative WJ200UMA-01-AL pillow block from the drylin® W product range, it is possible to replace liners without any disassembly work being required. The tool supplied makes it possible to exchange the liner within seconds. This saves valuable time and reduces costs!
The easy introduction to the world of Industry 4.0. This drylin® W carriage continuously tells you how long the liners will last. Replacement is the same, but now it can be performed at the perfect time.
Our drylin® products are tested in a test laboratory under a variety of conditions to ensure that they function reliably even in tough environments. Here we show you what is tested and how, and what happens to our test data. You can even have your application tested at igus®.
