Lubrication-free bearings for applications in fluid technology

Dampers are used to control, regulate and measure air flows in HVAC systems. As igus® components are characterised by a long service life and freedom from corrosion, they are often used for damper applications.

Fans are used to move the air within HVAC systems. We offer lubrication-free bearing arrangements with both high-speed plain bearings and xiros plastic ball bearings.

• Chemical-resistant plain bearing and guide ring e.g. made of iglidur® H370 for vertical piston guidance
• Patented spindle geometry and temperature-resistant spindle nut, e.g. made of iglidur® J350 for vertical drive of the shut-off body

• Dirt-resistant plain bearing and guide ring, e.g. made of iglidur® G for vertical piston guidance
• Patented spindle geometry and chemical-resistant spindle nut made of e.g. iglidur® J350 for vertical drive of the shut-off body

• Food-compliant plain bearings or sliding discs, e.g. made of iglidur® A350 for rotary movement of the ball valve
• Special sliding ring and thrust washer for guidance and sealing of the ball

• iglidur® Q plain bearing for high dynamic load in the pivot points of the flaps
• Optimised for swivel movements of the flap

• lubrication-free plain bearing e.g. made of iglidur® G for the shaft bearing
• Noise-damping plastic gears, e.g. made of iguform S270 for transmission in the gearbox
• drylin® SHT-spindle linear tables for vertical movement also available in special shapes

• lubrication-free plain bearing e.g. made of iglidur® G for the shaft bearing
• Noise-damping plastic gears, e.g. made of iguform S270 for transmission in the gearbox
• drylin® SHT-spindle linear tables for vertical movement also available in special shapes

• Media-resistant plain bearing e.g. made of iglidur® H3 for the bearing of the drive shaft
• Rotations of up to 6,500 rpm are possible through rotation in a medium (water, oil, etc.)

• Wastewater-resistant plain bearing e.g. made of iglidur® UW for the bearing of the drive shaft
• Short-term high speed of up to 2 m/s possible in unlubricated condition

• Media-resistant knife edge roller e.g. made of iglidur® H1 for rotation
• xiros conveyor roller with very low breakaway torque for rolling motion

• With a plain bearing made of iglidur® UW160, the paddle wheel "floats" on the bearing point. Minimal friction, since UW160 has the same density as water.
• xiros ball bearing with glass balls for smooth-running, corrosion-free bearing of the impeller
• Cost-effective manufacture of the entire impeller using injection moulding
• Low-wear plastic gears and plain bearings in the gearbox

• lubrication-free plain bearing e.g. made of iglidur® G in the pump mechanism of the meter
• Customised coupling rods for the transmission of forces in the gearbox
• Low-wear plastic gear wheels in the transmission

• Moisture-resistant clip bearings and plain bearings e.g. made of iglidur® G in the pivot points of the flaps
• Low-wear plastic gear wheels for controlling the dampers
• Customised coupling rods for transmitting forces in the gearbox
