Go to application

The Small Robots Company has developed a mobile weed killer so that conventional agriculture can dispense with the use of pesticides to control weeds. This works by mimicking an electric arc in order to contain the undesired wild growth and at the same time not unnecessarily burden the usable area.

The problem

For this project, light and robust robotics are required, which are not damaged by weather-related influences in outdoor use. Freedom from maintenance, corrosion resistance and freedom from lubricants are just a few of the required specifications.

The solution

Several 3-axis delta robots installed on a mobile frame and equipped with electrode units. The aim is to burn away the weeds with an electric arc. The advantage here lies in the autonomy of the system.
