The company Yanfeng Automotive Interior has developed a centre console that slides over 1200 mm. This required an energy chain for minimum installation space and with quiet operation. In our test laboratory, the largest in the industry, more than 10 billion test cycles are carried out per year with energy chains and chainflex cables in a total of 180 test stations. The focus is on noise tests and the examination of tribological properties under varying directions of movement, temperatures, media and continuous load. The results are entered into our tools to calculate service life and allow for precise predictions regarding their durability.
Upon request, igus carries out customer tests so as to check the use of the products under completely individual conditions.
