The readychain rack is an individual rack consisting of a modular system, which makes the transport and assembly of a harnessed energy supply system easier. In order to bring it quickly and safely to the machine, igus has developed a telescopic, modular transport rack. It can be adjusted to the millimetre to interface with the customer machine and be installed within just one working day.
In mechanical and plant engineering, process costs in the prototype phase decrease by up to 80%. This cost-effective concept pays off starting with the production of just a few machines per year, enabling you to take advantage of the modular rack even for small batches.
Leaner design, even more economical
The telescopic and modular transport and assembly rack for harnessed energy supply systems in a new size:
Normally, machine tool manufacturers try to avoid situations where too many different work steps have to be carried out on a system at the same time. A lot of manual work done by different employees does not automatically enhance efficiency; on the contrary, it increases the probability that errors can occur.
By using readychain systems, all four e-chains can be fully installed in half a day. Previously, two employees took one and half weeks for the work on the X-axis of an AERO system and a further week for the energy supply of the Y and Z-axes. In this way, Hartford is able to cut out some work steps, reduce process costs and, at the same time, greatly improve productivity.
