In aircraft construction, the Canadian company Amrikart uses drylin® T linear guide systems for precise and repeatable adjustment of drilling jigs. Thanks to the use of aluminium and plastic, the linear guide system is very light and completely maintenance-free due to the self-lubrication. It is also compact in size and the integrated manual clamp secures the position of the fixture. drylin® T is the linear guide system from igus® - clean, quiet, durable and available.

- What was needed: A series of controlled linear rails used to position and drill holes in brackets inside an aircraft.
The rails are each equipped with 4 slides. The 2 outer slides are used to position and support the assembly, while the 2 inner slides are used to either position multiple types of brackets or to drill holes in pre-assembled brackets. - Requirements: The system should be lightweight, lubrication-free and compact.
- Products used: drylin® T linear rail TS-01-15 and drylin® TW-01-15-HKA slide
- Success for the customer: Favourable and low-maintenance solution. The working environment is very confined, so the solution must be as small and light as possible. As the rails are about one metre long, components are needed that are very light and at the same time very precise.
