Smooth-running energy chains for Tagesschau studio camera robots

Three camera robots are suspended under the ceiling of the Tagesschau studio to achieve smooth, highly precise camera movements. Smooth running, low vibration, and wear resistance are the main requirements for the energy chains for guiding the extensive cable packages. E6 chains and chainflex control cables are used.

Robust energy chains for high-speed camera carriages

The Trackrunner from Rail & Tracking Systems is a professional fast-moving camera carriage used in sports competitions and TV shows. For the safe guidance of the cables, the company relies on energy chains of the E6 series, which easily master the high accelerations even outdoors at high temperatures.

Compact rotary table bearing for 360° product shots

A solution that was as light and compact as possible and required only a few components was sought for the bearing and drive of the rotary disc. A high mechanical resilience combined with low speeds was also required. The choice fell on light and vibration-dampening iglidur PRT slewing ring bearings.

Precise and strong gearboxes from the 3D printer for rotating devices for astrophotography

In order to be able to take astronomical photos, the earth's rotation must be compensated for. This is made possible by a special device from vhw Digitalart, which can rotate exactly 360 degrees in 24 hours. The gears and mounts for the motor and electronics were made from the tribofilament iglidur i150 using 3D printing.

Smooth running on the camera slider even with offset load

In Glidetrack's camera slider, the bearings were unevenly loaded when cameras were installed, whose centre of gravity was far outside the bearing axis. The result: tilting of the bearings and loud rattling. The solution: drylin WJRM hybrid bearings, which ensure significantly better operation. In addition, vertical and horizontal movements overhead are now also possible.

Precise, smooth focus adjustment of the large format camera

The Gibellini company was looking for a suitable linear guide to adjust the focus of their professional large format cameras. The choice fell on the lubrication-free drylin W system, which enables focusing with millimetre precision without the use of gear racks. The customer appreciates the jerk-free, fluid gliding movement.

Stable crane movements with maintenance-free plain bearings

In the EZFX jib, iglidur G plain bearings replace the previously used bronze bushings. They are lighter, more cost-effective and, thanks to their dry operation, do not require any additional lubrication, so there is no longer any need for maintenance.
