igus competitions and awards

motion plastics are used worldwide and in over 50 different industries, such as the automotive industry, medical technology, and robots. Our products are used for a wide variety of applications – and we ourselves are constantly surprised by the exciting, creative applications our customers come up with. We want to encourage and honour this innovative spirit with our competitions and awards:

manus award

For exceptional plastic bearing applications

The manus award honours the most creative, economical, and sustainable uses of polymer plain bearings in industrial applications. From series applications to custom pieces, anything can be used as the basis of an application as long as at least one prototype has been built. The award has been presented every two years since 2003. A panel of expert judges honours plastic plain bearing applications in a total of four categories: gold, silver, bronze, and green.
