Budding carpenters rely on drylin® linear and telescopic slides in furniture

In view of the many years of good experience with igus®, especially with the linear guide systems, the pull-out elements for these pieces of furniture were selected from the igus® catalogue. The trainees opted for the anodised aluminium shafts with lubrication-free drylin® linear plain bearings and a drylin® NT telescopic slide. They ensure smooth and maintenance-free movement and also look stylish.

Open at the touch of a button
The bedside cabinet completely dispenses with classic drawers, but there should still be hidden storage space. The body can be opened at the touch of a button, and there is also a small shelf for the user. Linear glides, two shafts made of hard anodised aluminium and two linear bearings made of tribologically optimised high-performance plastic iglidur® J were used here. Visually, the round shafts merge perfectly with the design of the table. Thanks to the glides, the table opens easily, smoothly and quietly. The quick assembly of the linear guides was also impressive.

Quiet gliding with a long extension
The budding carpenters realised two particularly remarkable functions for the coffee table. It is equipped with a swivel drawer that can be opened with a push button and the table can also be slid open from the centre for extra storage space. Durability and appearance were decisive factors in favour of this extension. The drylin® telescopic slide NT-35 made of aluminium directly convinced a student with its visually appealing anodised aluminium. High-performance plastics are used for the sliding elements. The tribopolymer enables the guidance to glide smoothly and smoothly. Another relevant advantage is achieved by dispensing with rollers in plastic glides. The incorporated solid lubricants ensure completely clean, maintenance-free and pleasantly quiet running. What's more, no dust or dirt sticks to the rails. The linear and telescopic slides therefore combine functionality and design - ideal for use in furniture.
