Sewage sludge turner from Huber SE

The automated plant in Bahr-El-Baquar processes a total of 475,000 tonnes of sludge over 4,000 operating hours every year. This makes the project one of the largest sludge drying projects in the world. In order to be able to safely guide the plant's cables over long distances, even in heat, humidity and dirt, suitable energy supply systems were required.

For a dependable power and energy supply of the automatic plant, igus® 3500 Series energy chains with chainflex® cables are used in a steel trough with a travel distance of 100 metres in 128 units.
