If you use 3D printers from Asiga or Genera, the material profile for processing iglidur® i3000 is stored directly in the respective material databases. You can find the material profile for processing on Formlabs Form 4 3D printers under the 'Downloads' tab on this page.
First 3D printing resin for wear-resistant parts: iglidur® i3000
The iglidur i3000 3D printing resin is suitable for processing on DLP and LCD printers and was developed specifically for printing wear-resistant parts. With a service life of at least 30 times to 60 times longer than conventional 3D printing resins, iglidur® i3000 is suitable for all types of wear applications. Thanks to the high resolution of up to 35μm, very delicate components can be printed with the finest details. With solid lubricants, the 3D-printed components are self-lubricating and low-maintenance. The mechanical specifications are largely isotropic due to the photopolymerisation process.
Thanks to an improved formulation, the 3D printing resin is now even easier to process and the mechanical specifications have been improved by 90% (flexural strength 90MPa and modulus of elasticity 2,610MPa).
Processing instructions: for better processing, the bottle with the resin should be shaken well before use. Since skin contact with the liquid resin must be avoided, personal protective equipment is absolutely necessary during processing.
By the way: In our in-house 3D printing service, igus processes its own iglidur i3000 resin in the classic DLP process with a high resolution that allows precision components to be manufactured. In addition, the UV wavelength of 385nm can reduce excessive curing and ensure a more precise shape.
