igus offers delta robots for a wide variety of tasks. The 3-axis and 4-axis delta was specially developed for fast pick & place tasks and is available with a suitable control system as an option. With a reach of 1,000mm and a pick rate of 111 picks/minute, they set new standards for cost-effective automation. The combination of precision and speed makes this robot ideal for end-of-line applications.

Thanks to its additional degree of freedom, the 4-axis delta LCA-DR1000-04 not only makes it possible to grip components precisely, but also to align them in a targeted manner.
Application examples
Typical applications of our delta robots are pick and place, conveyor belt picking and stacking tasks in three-dimensional space. In combination with a gripper or suction cup, picking tasks can be implemented very quickly.Control system
The igus Robot Control software enables simple and intuitive robot control and programming, making it easy to get started with automation. The modular design makes it possible to control various igus kinematics, such as delta robots. The delta robot can be controlled directly with all its advantages using our igus® Robot Control.
The free-of-charge, licence-free igus Robot Control software is integrated into the control system and thus makes use of a uniform operating concept and consistent communication services for many components of a system. This entails less project planning effort and faster commissioning.
The igus Robot Control is not a component of the product and can optionally be purchased from us. A master control system is not necessary.
It's also possible to use your own (robot) control system.Alternatively, it is also possible to operate each axis individually with a control system. For example, with the igus D1 dryve motor control system. With this control architecture, for each you need one motor control and an additional master control system per linear axis, which controls the coordination of the movement. You must then program the inverse kinematics for the delta robot yourself on your development environment.
The motor control systems are not part of the product and can be ordered from us as an option. igus does not offer a master control system at the moment.
