Trends and innovations for interpack 2023

igus at interpack | 4 - 10 May 2023 | Hall 18, Stand F20

After a six-year break, interpack - the international trade show for packaging machines and material - is finally on again. We won't miss it and will be presenting our new products in Hall 18, Stand F20 from 4th to 10th May. We will also address the key topics of this year's interpack: circular economy, resource conservation, digital technologies and product safety. We are looking forward to your visit!

Circular economy and resource conservation

Conscious use of resources has become probably the most topical, urgent production issue. How can I reduce material consumption and ensure that material is reused when the product reaches the end of its service life? Thanks to tribo-polymers, our bearing products require no external lubrication, so lubricating oils and greases can be avoided. And new projects such as the "Chainge" recycling project for energy chains ensure that products are reprocessed at the end of their life cycle.

New  ECO plain bearing product range made from regranulate

  • Our ECO plain bearings consist of up to 100% regranulates from proven and tested top materials
  • E.g. the particularly cost-effective iglidur ECO A180 all-rounder plain bearing
  • Or the iglidur ECO P plain bearing for use in high humidity
  • And other products ...

Digital technologies

Digital technology is coming to the packaging industry as well. How can maintenance cases on the packaging line be recognised at an early stage? How can I predict core rupture in my machine's cables before it occurs? Who will show me the wear at the bearing points in my conveyor belts? And what maintenance recommendations are there now? Our smart plastics sensor technology provides answers to these questions and many others.

Product safety

Product safety means consumer safety. Recognised standards such as those of the FDA or EU10/2011 prescribe the features that products in direct contact with food must have. We are also developing more and more products with a hygienic design and the important approvals. In addition to plain bearings, these products include linear technology, spherical balls, energy chains, spherical bearings, filaments, and much more. Here we have put together an selection from our hygienic design product range.

 New
Electrically conductive material with food contact
 New
Bar stock plates: FDA- and EU10/2011-compliant for chemicals and food
Gears with feather key groove
 New
Gears with key groove according to DIN 6885-1
 New
New spherical bearing type for food use
 New
Double joints for the food industry
 New
Linear carriage in hygienic design. Bacteria don't stand a chance.
 New
Ready-to-install stainless-steel toothed belt axis. Compact width of 50mm.
 New
Three-axis delta robot with FDA-compliant components
 New
PRT slewing ring bearing in hygienic design CIP (clean in place) for appropriate cleaning.
