About the application:

The Qx-Dextron from Qx Robotics Pvt. Ltd. is a tabletop medication dispensing device for pharmacies to reduce the pharmacist's daily workload purely to advising customers. The search for the desired medication in the warehouse is no longer necessary. This cost-effective automated solution can dispense individual medicine strips, such as blister packs and entire medicine boxes. The system pays for itself, even in smaller pharmacies, after a year.

The problem

In addition to advising customers, a chemist must retrieve the desired medication from storage. This takes time that could be better used in advising other customers. The time spent in the search results in longer waiting times for customers. This time-consuming work could be performed by an automated solution. Such solutions are generally very expensive and not economical, especially for small shops.

The solution:

A drylin linear robot system is used for this automated solution. System dimensions are flexible and can be adapted to the specific situation. The pick-and-place robot solution is efficient and affordable, even for small shops. The system pays for itself within a single year. Another feature is the Qx-Dextron's innovative design, which allows it to dispense even challenging products such as blister packs. The system is also energy-efficient, using an average of 1 kWh per day.
Overall, the system ensures much faster medication dispensing. For chemists, it can reduce medicine dispensing time to less than one third of what the conventional process requires.
