Plastic-coated ball bearings

Plastic-coated ball bearings ensure smooth running and minimize running noise. The plastic coating protects both the guide rail and other elements in the system from wear. Although various materials such as POM, PET, PA, and TPE are already used in industry, igus relies on its own high-performance plastics. Depending on the product, these can be used in high-temperature ranges up to +150 °C and have a service life more than three times longer than PA bandages. The products are 100% lubrication- and maintenance-free, cost-effective, and ideally suited for industrial use, especially in the chemical and food industries. They are available in various designs to meet specific user requirements. The iglidur high-performance plastics offer different properties that can be flexibly adapted to individual needs.
