iglidur® AB | The first antibacterial iglidur® material
iglidur® AB helps to reduce the level of bacterial contamination in bearing points that are difficult to access. iglidur® AB was specifically developed for applications in areas with high hygiene requirements. Often such applications are manually operated pivots (doors, medical furniture, etc.). The material reduces the level of bacterial contamination but - like all &#34;anti-bacterial&#34; materials - is not a substitute for adequate hygienic measures.

It was specifically developed for use in the food and packaging industry: the printed components are compliant to FDA and EU Regulation 10/2011 and the blue colour ensures the required optical detectability. iglidur i151 is also an all-rounder material, and due to its good mechanical properties (strength, toughness, layer adhesion) it is suitable for most applications. iglidur i151 has comparable mechanical specifications as iglidur i150, by far the most frequently used igus filament. There are restrictions in terms of the maximum permanent application temperature of 65°C and for highly dynamic applications.

With iglidur® H3 there is a new material in the iglidur H family. H3 sets new standards with its high durability. This material is tougher than comparable materials and achieves a longer service life than iglidur H1. iglidur H3 was developed primarily for use in pumps and demanding media and shines with its low moisture absorption.

The material is free of undesirable or prohibited ingredients, as required by renowned manufacturers of tobacco products as of 2004, and contains no carcinogenic additives such as PTFE.

igumid P190 is an extremely strong and stiff 3D printed filament due to the reinforcement with carbon fibre. It was specially developed as a partner material for iglidur i190 for the production of very strong and at the same time friction-optimised components in multi-material printing. Furthermore, it can be used for printing stable structural components. Thanks to the high strength and high rigidity, as well as its low density of 1.25g/cm³, igumid P190 is ideal for lightweight construction with low material requirements.

High abrasion resistance at low surface speeds 


Easy-to-process, abrasion-resistant filament - suitable for food contactiglidur i150 is characterised by high wear resistance, as the material is enriched with solid lubricants. It can be processed just as easily as standard PLA and PETG filaments. Due to its high wear resistance and good mechanical properties (strength, toughness, layer adhesion), it is an all-rounder material that is suitable for most applications and 3D printers. This makes it by far the most frequently used igus filament. There are restrictions only in terms of the maximum permanent application temperature of 65°C and for highly dynamic applications.Furthermore, it is suitable for food contact due to the conformity according to EU 10/2011 and is therefore ideal in applications in the food and packaging industry.  


iglidur H5 was developed especially for use in corrosive environments in which high edge pressures and impact loads also occur.


iglidur® H4 | The automotive standard for temperatures up to +200°C
iglidur® H4 stands for high load capacity, good abrasion resistance and good temperature resistance, when economic aspects are also to be considered. Temperatures up to +200°C, permitted surface pressure up to 65MPa, and excellent chemical resistance are only some of the essential attributes. Solid lubricants reduce the coefficient of friction and support the wear resistance, which has been significantly improved compared to iglidur® H2 , which are also very cost-effective.

iglidur A350 is an abrasion-resistant, high-temperature filament developed for the food and packaging industry. As such, the raw material is compliant with EU 10/2011 and FDA food contact regulations and has the industry standard blue colour. It is temperature-resistant up to 180 °C, fire-retardant according to UL94-V0 and can be sterilised with superheated steam.
Tip: iglidur A350 complies with the fire prevention requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration of the USA (FAA) for aircraft interiors

The special feature of iglidur AX500 is that it is a conductive material. In addition, AX500 has an even lower wear value than its predecessor. The material was developed especially for the food industry and can therefore be used in contact with food without any problems.

iglidur® A160 is characterised by extreme media resistance at low costs. Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur i6-BLUE
The iglidur i6-BLUE material, developed for laser sintering, is specifically intended for use as a worm wheel, and for food contact. The tests in the igus test laboratory showed a longer service life than for conventionally milled gears - e.g. POM - This significantly increases flexibility in the design of components, because the laser sintering process eliminates the need for tooling and therefore special parts can be manufactured efficiently with no minimum order quantity. Furthermore, iglidur i6-BLUE is ideal for snap-on connections due to the higher elongation at break.

In the development of iglidur® R, the focus was on high performance and a very low price. In particular, low friction and wear values were to be achieved in dry running. Components made of iglidur® R are specifically supported by a combination of solid lubricants. The PTFE and silicone-free material achieves outstandingly low friction values in dry running and runs largely stick-slip-free.

The laser sintering powder iglidur i9-ESD has a electrical resistance of 10^6 to 10^9 Ohm. This makes it electrostatically dissipative (ESD), and at the same time reduces the risk of unwanted discharge currents between sensitive, electrical components. This makes it ideal for applications in the electronics and semiconductor industries, and especially for electronic connectors.

Fire-retardant high-temperature filament, ideal for the railway industry
iglidur RW370 is an abrasion-resistant, high-temperature tribofilament which was specifically developed for use in railway vehicles. As such, its fire-retardant specifications conform to UL94-V0 and EN45545. In addition, it has the maximum mechanical strength of all tribofilaments and a long-term temperature resistance of 170 °C, which makes it the material of choice for high-temperature applications.

Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur i3
The iglidur i3 material, specially developed for laser sintering, showed an abrasion resistance 3 to 30 times better than conventional materials for laser sintering in the tribological tests in the igus® test laboratory. As a result, the degrees of freedom are further increased when designing wear-stressed sliding components. It is used for  all  sliding applications, as well as rollers, racks, spur gears and bevel gears.

When to use it?

For all types of applications where low friction and high wear resistance are important
When components with high mechanical strength are required, in particular spur gears, bevel gears, drive nuts, special slides and spherical bearings
