iglidur® - maintenance-free two hole flange bearing

With this type, it is possible to use iglidur® high-performance plain bearings where no precisely toleranced housing bores are possible. The design means that high loads are possible with minimal demands on the precision of the housings.

Flange plain bearings made of iglidur® A180 are suitable for use in direct contact with food. They are therefore the ideal solution for bearing points on machines for the food and packaging industry, medical equipment manufacturing, small household appliances, etc. Even where wet cleaning or process-related contact with moist media is the order of the day, iglidur® A180 is characterised by minimal moisture absorption.
  • Wear-resistant
  • Lightweight
  • Lubrication-free

When to use it?
  • If a bolted two hole flange bearing is required
  • If a clip bearing solution as a sheet metal feed-through is not sufficient
  • If very coarse housing tolerances are present
  • If the press fit of a press-fit bearing is not sufficient as locating spigot
When not to use it?
  • If additional angle compensation is required
  • If a screw connection is not possible
  • If a long guide length is required

Assembly

Depending on the loads, different types of mounting can be considered. With low radial loads, it is sufficient to simply mount iglidur® flange plain bearings to a surface with two screws. For higher radial loads, it is recommended to support the iglidur® flange bearing on the reinforced side in the load direction in a hole. Large tolerances are permissible for this hole, since it is only important to additionally support the iglidur® fixed flange bearing. In order to support even higher radial loads, the iglidur® flange bearing can be pressed in with the longer side in a hole with H tolerance. The additional screw connection secures the seat of the bearing in the housing. No special tools or devices are required for the assembly of the iglidur® maintenance-free fixed flange bearings. It is also easy to align the bearings on shafts with multiple bearings during assembly.
