igubal® spherical bearing
The use of spherical bearings is usually associated with high weights of the bearings, difficult installation and high costs. In most cases, maintenance is required in the long term, and the bearings are corrosion-resistant only in special designs. Often roller or plain bearings are excessively loaded by edge loads and fail prematurely, or bearings have to be laboriously readjusted, reamed or rebuilt to compensate for misalignments. igubal® spherical bearings put an end to all these disadvantages and open up completely new possibilities through their design: They are easy to handle, cost-effective, very light and very robust.
The housing is made of igumid G, a particularly impact-resistant, long-fibre reinforced polymer. Suitable for temperatures from -30 °C to +80 °C for a long time.
Here the ball spherical cap is made of iglidur® J, a material that is characterised by low moisture absorption, lowest friction values in dry operation and extremely low stick-slip tendency. The latter is particularly important with low loads and very slow movements.
- Maintenance-free dry running
- Mechanical connecting element between two components
- Compensation of misalignments
- Corrosion resistant
