drylin E GRW rack-and-pinion track study

drylin® GRW rack-and-pinion track study

... an (almost) endlessly expandable drive ...

Based on the drylin® W linear construction kit, we present a continuously expandable drive axis for the first time. Modular rack segments allow the travel of the linear axis to be extended many times over.  The drylin® E electric motor can be directly connected to the linear carriage, as well as the option of the matching energy chain. On a long rail profile, several carriages can be controlled in parallel but independently of each other.  Travels can also be easily extended at a later date thanks to the rack and pinion segments.

Tech up with igus drive technology

Tech up

  • Rack and pinion elements modularly (endlessly) expandable
  • For applications > 2000mm
  • For movements with high dynamics
  • Separate operation of several linear carriages possible at the same time
Reduce costs with igus®

Cost down

  • Suitable for drylin® W standard rail WS-20
  • Linear carriage with exchange bearing for bearing replacement
  • Directly on the rail
  • Available ready for installation with motor and control system
  • Efficient use of the carrier linear guide
igus® demonstrates how it works!

Proof

  • Multiple number of drive carriages possible on one profile
  • Multiple stroke expansion subsequently possible
Plastic to Oil - igus® is sustainable

Sustainability

  • 100% lubrication-free through the use of igus® polymers in the bearing points
  • Maintenance-free due to self-lubricating igus high-performance polymers
