This racing car can be used both on a race track or as a rallye vehicle. This is made possible by a variable chassis geometry which allows the car‘s chassis clearance to be reduced from 300 to 100 millimetres. As always with racing cars, the components must be reliable, be able to withstand high loads and weigh as little as possible. For these reasons, the conventional pivoting bearings have been replaced by iglidur® plain bearings from igus®. No less than 95 igus® plain bearings are located in the upper and lower transverse link, in the relay lever for the suspensiondamper unit, in the door hinges, pedals, steering, steering gear, gearshift and hand brake.
