Problem
Within this production plant in the pharmaceutical industry, the cylindrical containers kept falling over during transport, causing them to tilt as they travelled. The task for the system operators was therefore to create a clean and seamless transition between a rotary table and the downstream stations of the system that would transport the spray bottles smoothly and safely. Due to the special circumstances of the application, the company was looking for a sliding structure that could only have a very low height for this application, was washable, showed little signs of wear despite continuous operation and was noise-insulating when the bottles ran over the sliding element.
Solution
The manufacturer finally found the solution to the transport problem within the pharmaceutical packaging system in the form of the tribo-tape liner. The film, which is very flat in height, has optimum sliding properties to ensure trouble-free operation in the system at all times. Due to its good sliding properties, the wear-resistant film also keeps the noise level particularly low. Tribo-tape is primarily used for lining tribologically stressed surfaces and transport tasks. It can be easily cut to size with scissors and is quickly applied to the desired surfaces.
