Precise harvesting

This robot has been designed for the automatic picking and packing of tomatoes. To be able to do this, it is fitted with a sensor to detect the ripeness of the tomatoes, so that only ripe ones are picked. The robot is to be implemented using the robolink® modular component setfrom igus®. The plastic joints can rotate and pivot freely and pneumatic, hydraulic and data lines and cables can be routed safely in the jointed arms. Thedrive technology is also to be implemented using robolink®.
