Tray sealing

Overview

Tray sealers are machines that bring plastic trays and a heated top film together. They represent a sub-process of form, fill and lock systems in which the tasks of film unwinding and deflection, sealing station and toggle lever storage take place.

Used products and application examples

A hygienic design without lubricants, high wear resistance, chemical resistance, insensitivity to frequent cleaning and a long service life: the food industry also sets the highest standards for all machine components in tray sealers.
Here we support the industry with our innovative products from our iglidur and drylin bearing portfolios. They are used in such applications as the sealing and lifting station or supporting and guiding packaging film.
1. Film unwinding and guiding

2. Toggle bearing (sealing and lifting station)

3. Vertical bearing (sealing and lifting station)
Lubrication-free, cost-effective xiros ball bearings have proven their worth for reliable food-compliant film unwinding and guidance.
Film guide

1. Film unwinding and guidance

xiros ball bearings provide support for the film. They are also often a cost-effective, lubrication-free alternative to metal ball bearings.
Toggle lever bearing

2. Toggle lever bearing
(sealing and lifting station)

The axes at the feeding and sealing station are supported with iglidur plain bearings made of the J and Z materials, which absorb high forces.
Lifting station

3. Vertical bearing
(sealing and lifting station)

drylin linear liners and iglidur JUCM linear clip bearings were installed for the linear strokes at the station.
