Tech up & cost down motion plastics for the printing industry
Clean, quiet, cost-effective solutions for printing technology
The term printing technology refers to numerous methods of duplicating masters and templates. Similarly, igus motion plastics refers to numerous tribologically optimised polymer products which help you reduce the cost of your equipment and increase its service life. They do this by eliminating the need for lubrication and maintenance with our dry-operating bearing elements or by providing fail-safe cables and optimum cable guidance. From our range of 100,000 modular products, we always offer the right solution for every requirement. Extremely low-vibration energy supplies for very high acceleration rates, super-silent running from 32 dB(A), very high data rates (CAT7, 600 MHz) and a 36-month chainflex guarantee.
Benefits of igus products:
Corrosion-resistant; no need for lubricant or maintenance, even in 24/7 operation
Insensitive to printing powder and paper dust
Vibration-dampening and quiet
Save installation space and weight

Low-vibration energy chain for high print quality in large-format printers
Almost anything can be printed with the "Virtu" large-format printer: sheet metal, foils, textiles, wood, glass and, of course, paper that is up to 3.5 metres wide. A print head moves over the medium to be printed at a speed of up to 3 metres per second. As any vibration would impair the print image, our smooth and quiet E6 energy chain is used.
Cable guides for reliable media supply for large-format printers
"Heleva" is an intelligent, automatic material feed system for print media to large-format plotters. As high productivity around the clock and short loading times are required, the feed must operate without failure. igus energy chains and chainflex cables guarantee the reliable movement of the suction devices for holding the print media as well as smooth movement sequences.
Conveyor rollers with xiros ball bearings 100 per cent free of lubricants
Our xiros ball bearings are used in the conveyor rollers of the adhesive seal printer of a well-known manufacturer in the field of pioneering adhesive solutions. They are half the price and available more quickly than the ball bearings previously used. Users also benefit from the low weight, low friction and, above all, the fact that the plastic ball bearings are lubrication-free.
Maintenance-free lead screw technology in the book scanner
In a book scanner for digitalising cultural assets, lubrication-free drylin trapezoidal lead screw nuts are used in combination with metallic threaded inserts. The nuts are custom-made from our wear-resistant material iglidur W300 and impress with their absolute freedom from lubrication and maintenance.
