Ideal for plain bearings - iglidur® GKF shafts

iglidur® GKF shafts are perfectly optimised for use in combination with dry-operating plain bearings, and increase the service life of your bearing locations. As an alternative to galvanised or chromed shafts, GKF shafts offer an optimised gas-nitrified shaft surface and a special protection against corrosion and wear. They have been developed especially for the use in agricultural and forestry machines as well as for construction machinery and utility vehicles.

The advantages of iglidur® GKF shafts
  • 3 times lower wear compared to galvanised and chrome-plated surfaces
  • Surface hardening and corrosion protection are produced in the same process
  • Corrosion protection reduces the risk of failure and wear
  • Weldable without additional machining
  • Greatly improved coefficient of wear compared to conventional shaft materials
Areas of application:
highly stressed external bearing points in construction machinery or commercial vehicles, as well as agricultural machinery for tillage and harvesting.
