igus® test laboratory - Applications with high number of cycles, speeds and accelerations in demanding environmental conditions require tested and proven, sure-to-function systems especially for energy chains and cables, as well as polymer plain bearings and linear systems. igus® conducts tests continuously in the in-house laboratory under real conditions.
 
Over 2,000 experiments are conducted every year for e-chain® systems and cables and over 5,000 experiments with bearings. The focus of our tests are tensile strengths and shear force, coefficients of friction and wear. Influence factors such as speed, stress, dirt, weathering, temperature or impacts and shocks are tested. Tests of electric cables and all types of hoses for media, hydraulics and pneumatics.
 
Our laboratory is at your disposal. In case we don't have any immediate answer for your special application, we'd be happy to conduct an individual experiment based on your specifications.
