iglidur® Tribo-Filament for 3D printer

igus® presents world's first tribological 3D filament for 3D printers.

The tribological 3D printing material is up to 50 times more abrasion-resistant than conventional 3D print materials

The Tribo specialist igus® is doing research in the 3D print field to provide its customers with even more options. For instance, they can design custom parts or manufacture prototypes while also relying on the tested service life of igus® materials. When doing so, they can choose between five wear-resistant igus® materials. From iglidur I150, which is easier to process than all other Tribo-filaments, all the way to iglidur J260, which can be used for applications up to 120 °C.
Starter kits each with 25 g of material are available for initial tests.

As a source of output data for your Tribo parts printyou can rely on the entire igus® CAD library. Simply choose the STL file format.

Processing instructions

iglidur® Tribo-Filaments can be processed on any 3D printer that is equipped with a heated print bed on which temperatures are adjustable. The igus® adhesive film achieves good adhesion between the print bed and the iglidur® Tribo-filament. iglidur® I150 is the only Tribo-filament that can be processed on 3D printers that have no heated print bed. The complete processing instructions are listed below:
