Energy chains and drylin® low profile linear guide system, round linear guide, and lead screw units in 3D printers

Using a 3D printer, a 3D model is quickly transformed into a real product, a physical object. The layers are deposited by a computer control, generally using plastic filaments. Rapid prototypes, but also functioning samples can be created quickly and conveniently.

The bq witbox 3D printer combines technology in an aesthetically compact housing, and relies on lubricant-free products from igus®. igus® components perform important tasks for each print process and ensure the 3D print product.

drylin® N flat guides and drylin® SD lead screw units perform the height adjustments. As a black anodised profile, drylin® N ideally blends into the design of the 3D printer. The e-chain system® E045 reliably guides all connection cables in any direction of travel. drylin® R round guides guide the print head in the other directions in parallel.

All components are completely lubricant-free, travel accurately, are very quiet, low in weight, and corrosion-resistant.
